Cosette was raised in a convent. She wasn't trained to kick and shout and rebel. She was schooled there and taught to be a 'lady'. PLUS, why would she go to the barricades? Sure, for Marius, but she wouldn't hurt Valjean so much. If you watch the 1998 version (which really makes Cosette look badass) she has a moment with Marius where he asks her to run away with him and she says that she can't. She has to go with Valjean because he has always been there for her and protected her, and now she has to be there for him. GUYS DON'T YOU SEE? Cosette has common sense and a heart of gold. Instead of running after a boy she's known for a day, she stays by her father and the man that has sacrificed everything for her.

She steals Marius from Eponine.

What with, witchcraft? COSETTE DIDN'T KNOW THAT EPONINE WAS IN LOVE WITH MARIUS. GET THAT INTO YOUR FREAKIN HEAD. Yes, we can all feel sad for Eponine because she was in love with Marius and he doesn't want her and it seems that him and Cosette have a prefect fairytale ending and Eponine didn't just because she was poor blahblahblah. YES, OKAY. WE ALL LOVE EPONINE. It's because we can relate to her, right? The whole friendzone thing. We can admire her. She's brave and loyal and tragic. BUT CAN'T MUCH MORE OF US RELATE TO COSETTE? Shy, not very independent and a hopless romantic. DOESN'T THAT DESCRIBE MOST FANGIRLS?!
GUUUYS YOU'RE TURNING AGAINST YOUR SISTA. 

She's rich and pretty and Eponine is better because she's an outcast and misunderstood. 

Now, this is plain stupid. Cosette can't help being beautiful. Do you guys really think that she can control her genes?

IT'S NOT A SIN TO BE BEAUTIFUL, IT'S A SIN TO BE VAIN. 

Not once does Cosette brag about how pretty she is. For all we know, Cosette could be ugly. Maybe Marius got to know her and fell in love with her. After all, they meet time and time again in the book, don't they? Marius could have got to know her and fallen in love with her personality. 
Eponine could have been beautiful. Beauty has nothing to do with love. TRUE love anyway. Marius might have found Eponine attractive but maybe he just didn't like her personality. I personally don't think you can chose to fall in love with anyone. 

She can't help being rich either. She didn't walk up to Valjean and demand to be given clothes and dolls and a home. Cosette deserves it because of her horrible childhood. This is not to say that Eponine deserves her lonely, poor life because of her rich childhood. If anything, Eponine has had the better life. It is harder for children to grow up in a harsh environment. It's harder for them to be strong, to adapt and to survive. Csoette did well to survive as she did for all of those years but Eponine had it easy. She just sauntered through her difficult and most venerable time of life. Becasue Eponine is older when she was struck with poverty and starvation, she is able to last and adapt, because she is stronger. We also must remember that Eponine says hat she is the "...daughter of a wolf." She jas become strong in her environment because she is older and has a father like Thenardier who has made her strong with all of his beatings and harsh words when she became a teenager. 

Cosette has done nothing to hurt anyone. She has been loyal and loving towards Valjean, a holy and innocent girl and has never spited anyone, especially Eponine.

It took me about 5 mins to draw in a cut little notebook that I bought today. She's waiting for Marius to visit.
